What you can do at the 1-year mark of Jason's Wrongful Conviction
This Wednesday, August 29, 2012, marks one year since Jason's wrongful conviction. We are holding a series of events, here is how you can get involved:
1. Make a much needed donation to Jason's defense fund. This month alone, the family has spent thousands on travel and legal fees. Every donation - big and small - makes a difference.
2. Join us at the Candlelight Vigil for Jason at 8:00 p.m. at Red Square at the University of Washington in Seattle. If you're not in Seattle, please take a moment of silence at 8pm PST/10pm CST/11pm EST and hold Jason and his family in your heart.
3. Join us at noon at a rally for Jason Puracal at the Nicaraguan Consulate in Los Angeles (3550 Wilshire Blvd). Change.org, the California Innocence Project and Sarah Shourd will deliver the Change.org petition with 112,000 signatures to the Nicaraguan Consulate.
We also ask that you tweet, share, post, donate and BANG THE DRUM FOR JASON! It's been one year since Jason was sentenced, and now more then ever is the time to be active and vocal in your support. Follow us on Twitter and Facebook for the latest updates.
As always, we couldn't do this without you.
Petitions to be delivered to the Nicaraguan Embassy.
Until Freedom,
The Free Jason P
